Hypnosis

I learned a few weeks ago that the sound of the motor from my breastpump is hypnotic to Robert. Often, when I nurse him, I will pump on the opposite side. This causes Robert to fall asleep. Hmmm, curious...
So, one morning while we were sleeping (Robert was in bed with mom and dad) he started to stir. We were not ready to get up. I turned on the pump motor and immediately, Robert went back to sleep. Nice!

We have a very nice mobile in Robert's room. It makes several sounds, including white noise, classical music and lullabies. But my Robert prefers the sound of my breast pump to soothe him. Go figure!
